Brief Summary:

As a Quotation Engineer within our Product Management team, you'll spearhead the seamless generation of quotations for optical components. Collaborating closely with our engineering department, you'll take charge of sourcing sub-component parts from third-party vendors, ensuring precise and consistent quotes for our sales teams.

Job Description:
  • Generation of Request for Quotes (RFQs)
    • Receive and process RFQ requests from the sales team, entering them into our system and tracking progress using designated trackers.
    • Create comprehensive RFQ worksheets, including detailed drawings and specifications, and distribute them to relevant engineering personnel for assessment.
    • Coordinate with engineering to compile responses regarding timings, yields, and exceptions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of RFQs before returning to the sales team.
    • Conduct thorough analysis and review of high-value quotes with the management team, providing insights and recommendations as necessary.
    • Respond promptly to inquiries and provide necessary support to the sales team throughout the quotation process.
  • Program Functions
    • Foster collaboration and communication between the Sales team, customers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective follow-up actions and closure of programs.
    • Organize program requirements into actionable tasks for team members, ensuring clarity and accountability.
    • Monitor the status of customer orders, analyzing potential risks and issues that may impact delivery schedules, and implement appropriate countermeasures to mitigate them.
    • Develop, maintain, and generate performance reports detailing program status, risks, and achievements for internal distribution and review.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the management team to support the overall goals and objectives of the Product Management department.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or 2 years of experience in quotations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office required; knowledge in optics and SAP advantageous.
